In the department of mechanical engineering, various workshops have been held from time to time. The motive behind such workshops is only knowledge dissemination among students about latest technology and interaction with seniors in their respective fields.
One of the important workshop that was held for the students of the department of mechanical engineering was to learn about latest technology for manufacturing i.e. 3-D Printer. A live demonstration was given by the resource person Mr. Rajiv Bhargav . He told that 3D printing enables you to produce complex shapes using less material than traditional manufacturing methods.
With the help of a machine he gave a live demonstration showing an additive process in which an object is created by laying down successive layers of material until the object is created. Later, each of these layers can be seen as a thinly sliced cross-section of the object. It was held on 11 October 2018.
Next workshop was on "Trouble shooting on IC Engines" which was held on 12 September 2018, in which student were made aware of various engine problems and issues and implemented their solutions by giving proper live demonstration then and there only. This workshop helped students to gain deeper and practical knowledge for engines and their working.
We also used to celebrate a very special day named as “Workshop Day”, in which all the mechanical engineering students of all semesters participate with full zeal and optimism. The motive behind this workshop is proper interaction and participation of all students encouraging team work among them and full practical demonstration of mechanical laboratory only from mechanical engineering students.
