FDP on Computational Research Tools for Data Processing, Analysis & Report Writing
One week Faculty Development Program (FDP) cum workshop on Computational Research Tools for Data Processing,
Analysis & Report Writing was organized in hybrid mode by the Centre for Renewable Energy & Storage, Suresh
Gyan Vihar University from 15th-21st January, 2024 in collaboration with SHODH LAB and Academic Staff
College.
Expert sessions were delivered by Prof. Gaurav Saxena (Govt. PG College, Ajmer), Prof. Manoj Kumar
(MNIT), Prof. Debasish Sarkar (MNIT) and Prof. Kamlendra Awasthi (MNIT) on the research ethics, fundamentals
of LaTeX, Over Leaf, Beamer, data processing and analysis by using Origin, research presentation techniques,
citation proficiency and scientific writing mastery by using Mendeley and Endnote. Overall 60+ faculties and
scholars attended the event via online/ offline mode. It provided hands-on training experience to the

The FDP was very well-received by the participants both who were present in person as well as the ones who attended it
online. The FDP was a “hands-on” Workshop where the participants were given live problems to tackle on the spot on their
laptops; the utility and the usefulness of the entire exercise was enhanced manifold, simultaneously making the concepts
clear for the participants.
Each session was followed by rigorous Q & A session, wherein the participants brought forth their doubts and question
and the experts resolved the same with extreme patience and their expertise. It served the dual purpose of making the
FDP cum Workshop not only interactive, livelier and meaningful, it also serve the purpose of instilling a basic sense of
having acquired new knowledge in the minds of the participants which included working professionals as well as research
scholars.
