The University

The University has been established by the Government of Rajasthan vide Suresh Gyan Vihar University, Jaipur Act no.16 of 2008 under section 2(f) of the UGC Act, 1956. The University has on offer multifarious degree programs in domains such as Management, Engineering, Pharmacy, Sciences and Hotel Management & Education.

Suresh Gyan Vihar University has been painstakingly working towards augmenting strategic tie-ups with institutions of international repute across the globe in an effort to up the ante for better teaching and learning techniques, research & development and refining, re-defining and restructuring the education curriculum. At present, the University has to it students in excess of 6000, pursuing multifarious programs at different levels.

GVSAT-2017

Admissions to the engineering program at Suresh Gyan Vihar University (SGVU), for the academic session 2017-18 will be made through GVSAT. GVSAT-2017 will come to candidates as a PC-based online test or a conventional paper-and-pen based offline test. GVSAT-2017 will be conducted for the following undergraduate engineering programs of SGVU:

Eligibility:
Candidates, either appearing for 10+2 examination from a recognized board in the year 2017 or having cleared their 10+2 examination earlier, with the minimum qualifying percentage as stated above, are eligible to appear in GVSAT-2017.

Syllabus:
GVSAT-2017 will be in accordance with the NCERT syllabus for standard 11th and 12th. The detailed syllabus is available on the website. Candidates may refer to NCERT textbooks for the contents. A sample test demonstrating the features of GVSAT will be made available to the registered candidates on our website on which they can practice as many times as desired.

Examination paper and number of questions:
All questions will be of objective type (multiple choice questions); each question will have four answers to it with only one being the correct answer. Each correct answer will fetch the candidate 2 marks. No marks will be awarded for questions not attempted. There is no negative marking either. There will be a total of 120 questions. The number of questions to each part will be as follows:

*Candidates applying for Biotehnology or Agriculture can opt from among Physics/Biology as one paper. Chemistry, English and Mathematics are mandatory for all. For B.Tech and Dual Degree Programs, candidates need to appear in Physics, Chemistry, English and Mathematics.
