Success chronicle of our young achievers: 5th Convocation
Gyanviharites reached another milestone. A grand ceremony of 5th convocation was held on October, 8, 2016, Saturday, in the campus of Suresh Gyan Vihar University. All the candidates of the various Schools of the University and various divisions chipped in the ceremony. Total of 673 students were awarded with various degrees. The students were blessed by dignified Guest of Honor, Padma Vibhushan, Dr. R.A. Mashelkar, and Chairman Shri Sunil Sharma. They verbally bestowed degrees to the aspirants according to their respective programs and courses in various branches of Higher Education in which they fetched gigantic performance.

The world is bursting of the benefits of technology. The technology around us is evolving at a breathtaking pace, thus giving birth to the need for a highly skilled workforce. In an effort to metamorphose the University into a nursery producing the technocrats of tomorrow, SGVU is on the verge of inking a tie-up with the leading specialist in Drive and Control Technologies, BOSCH Rexroth. The University will soon be privileged with cutting edge technology to better train its young techies, and a Centre of Excellence to achieve technological culmination.
SGVU: The Solar Power Bank
India, a rapidly growing economy with more than 1 billion people, is facing a huge energy demand. The country stands fifth in the world in the production and consumption of electricity. SGVU has been meticulously treading on the path of making this world greener and a better place to live in. The university intends to come up with a solar park, the largest any academic institution has ever witnessed. As on date, the university has a roof-top solar paneling system that has a power generation capacity of 240KW. With this solar park in place, an additional 760 KW of electricity will be produced taking the number to 1 MW. The surplus will be supplied to the neighboring villages, especially the ones that are still devoid of this basic necessity in modern times.
Hydroponics: The New 'In' at SGVU
Flowing with the surge is what SGVU is all about. This is best substantiated by the University's upcoming venture of taking up Hydroponic farming, particularly aimed at its School of Agriculture Science & Research students. It is a relatively new method of growing vegetables, crops and foliage plants using mineral nutrient solutions, in water, without soil. Hydroponic farming yields better results as nutrients are dissolved in water and directly fed to roots. Compared to the conventional mode of farming, this method saves farmers from the troubles of weeding, soil borne diseases, spraying pesticides, extensive labor costs, tilling, etc.
SGVU's Climate Change
The climate of Earth nowadays is changing very rapidly and differently. Climate change is the seasonal changes for a long period of time in the world. These climate patterns play an important role in shaping natural ecosystems, and the human economies and cultures that depend on them. Convention on Climate Change and Water (C3W) is an annual academic event organized by Suresh Gyan Vihar University Jaipur. Scholars, activists, social workers, innovators, writers and researchers participate in this event and present their insights into issues relating to climate change, water crisis, and alternate energy sources.
SGVU joins hands with Google
Industrial teaching by a leading industry is a realistic augmentation for the students. SGVU has made it into the league of a few selected institutes across the country that has been preferred by GOOGLE to integrate Google technologies in teaching and learning. Google has been progressively working on its plan of training 2 million android developers in partnership with 30 Universities over a period of 3 years. The world's leading search engine will set up a Chrome Lab at SGVU to make use of Google technologies, to train teachers and students on Google technologies and to create certification programs for the skill development of teachers and students.
The House of Wisdom: Our Central Library
A library is an anthology of sources of information and analogous resources, made accessible to a defined community for reference or borrowing. The "House of Wisdom" has 1.5 Lac. Square feet plinth area, stretched in four floors. It has Escalator and lift facilities for library users. The Library has over 4 Million Print and E-Resources with subscription of DELNET, N-LIST and World eBook Library. The Only Library with an Android Application of its own available on play store with name "House of Wisdom". It is completely digitalized with KOHA. Approximately 500 users visit the library per day.
Dream of SGVU: Modernization of Kacholiya Village
It's immense graciousness for the Gyanviharites to have determined for taking the responsibility of developing an ideal village. Suresh Gyan Vihar University has adopted the village Kacholiya for the overall development including Economic Upliftment, School Education, Free Professional Education, Skills Development Programs, Agriculture Support and Testing of Soil, Govt. Rural Schemes for the villagers. In this grand exertion, the Students and faculty members of Gyan have taken oath to make Kacholiya a contemporary village.
