Virender Kumar Verma, HOD of Computer Science, Ryan College for Higher Education

Virendra K. Verma is presently working as Head of the Department in Computer Science. Since childhood, he dreamt to be in academic field. With a passion of teaching, he started his career in Computer Science Khalsa College in 2012-2013. While studying in Suresh Gyan Vihar University he participates in all academic as well as administrative activities. He was too curious and the feedback from his professors was “he didn’t ask a lot of questions in class, gradually he improved a lot and started asking questions in class”. Even Virender said, “I realized asking questions allowed me to see the bigger and more holistic picture of a particular project.

This helped me to realize I wanted to be an Academician rather than a Software Engineer. One thing that really helped me was that every day I used to talk to my friends about 2 things I thought I improved on from yesterday, 2 things I messed up today, and 2 things I want to accomplish tomorrow. Simple yet effective to give you data points to measure your progress!. With strong determination and blessing from his parents, he achieved whatever he dreamt.
