From SGVU to Deloitte: The Inspiring Journey of Sujeet Kumar Jha
B.Tech – Electrical Engineering | Batch of 2009 | Senior Consultant, Deloitte
In 2009, Sujeet Kumar Jha began his academic journey at Suresh Gyan Vihar University, enrolling in the B.Tech (Electrical Engineering) program. Like many students stepping into college life for the first time, Sujeet arrived with curiosity and questions—but SGVU soon became the place where those questions turned into clarity and confidence.
The university’s hands-on learning environment, industry-aligned curriculum, and inspiring mentorship helped Sujeet unlock his potential early on. Practical exposure through real-world projects, workshops, and technical fests allowed him to build not only technical skills but also leadership and teamwork capabilities.
Among the many memorable moments at SGVU, one piece of advice left a lasting impact on him. His mentor, Sunil Sharma Sir, once told him, “A reader will be a leader.” That simple yet powerful line reshaped Sujeet’s perspective on learning and growth. It sparked a passion for continuous self-improvement, research, and exploration—qualities that would later define his career in global consulting.
After completing his engineering degree, Sujeet pursued an MBA in Power Management, diving deep into the world of energy markets, policy, and utility strategy. With a rare combination of technical and strategic expertise, he began his consulting career and steadily rose through the ranks.
Today, he is a Senior Consultant at Deloitte, where he advises governments and Fortune 500 companies on energy transition, strategic transformation, and sustainability initiatives.
His role places him at the intersection of business, policy, and technology—solving some of the most complex challenges in the global energy landscape. Sujeet’s journey from the classrooms of SGVU to the global consulting arena is a shining example of what the right education, mentorship, and determination can achieve.
He continues to carry the values and vision instilled in him during his time at SGVU, proving that a strong foundation leads to extraordinary outcomes.
