Rajesh joined us for a Master's in Biotechnology program in 2004. He was
sincere with his research and had the ability to handle work pressure and
come up with innovative solutions. He would read books, newspapers and keep himself technically updated. He
has strong interpersonal skills and has a clear conceptual thinking.
His Dissertation entitled " Biotransformation of Organic Compounds" at
fermentation technology division at Central Drug Research Institute
(Lucknow, India) added deeper technical knowhow of bioprocess
technology.
Right after his degree in 2006, he joined Reliance Life Sciences as a Research
Fellow where he:
*Downstream process development and optimization for therapeutic proteins
(Monoclonal antibodies, Recombinant hormones, and fusion proteins).
*Characterization of proteins in terms of their physicochemical properties and
benchmarking of proteins to establish their quality attributes.
In 2011, Rajesh got the opportunity to move to the National Centre for Biomedical
Engineering and Science, National University of Ireland, Galway for his Ph.D. in
Biomedical Engineering.
Rajesh gained specialized experience in process scale chromatography, scale
down modeling, filtration operations, tech transfer, validation and
characterization of downstream operations. His experience also includes
protein characterization by various analytical techniques. Combining together
his experience in both industrial and academic settings have contributed in
development of a coherent, dynamic and creative scientific approach towards
investigation of complex scientific problems.
Apart from being a Scientist, he loves to read books and likes to travel to
the mountains. He says, "A walk to a nearby park may give you more energy and
inspiration in life than spending two hours in front of a screen."
