From Campus to the High Seas: The Inspiring Journey of Kamlesh Kumar Gehlot
Meet Kamlesh Kumar Gehlot, a proud alumnus of the **2007 Mechanical Engineering batch of Suresh Gyan Vihar University, whose journey from classroom learning to commanding engineering systems on the high seas is nothing short of remarkable.
Currently serving as Chief Engineer at Scopio Marine Management, Kamlesh is responsible for overseeing the mechanical operations of large oil tankers, navigating global waters while ensuring peak efficiency and safety.
From a young dreamer in Jaipur to a seasoned marine engineer traveling the world, Kamlesh credits his success to the strong academic and practical foundation laid at SGVU. His expertise and leadership are critical in managing the complex onboard machinery that keeps global trade moving. Though much of his life is spent amidst the waves, Kamlesh has remained deeply connected to his roots—now settled in Jaipur with his family, beautifully balancing a life of global exploration with a grounded sense of home.
Words from Kamlesh to SGVU: “SGVU gave wings to my dreams and engines to my ambition—what I learned there still drives me across oceans today.”
