Dr Swatantar always wanted to be a scientist that’s why he choose SGVU to study M.Sc Biochemistry as the course content which includes in M.Sc that is not offered by other Universities. After completing his degree in M.Sc Biochemistry with us in 2008, he further pursued M.tech Biotechnology in 2009-2011. He earned his doctorate degree from the Max Planck Institute of Global Biogeochemical Cycles Jena, Germany in the framework of Friedrich Schiller University, Germany. Max Planck Fellowship and LIFE fellowship for PhD in year 2018 were some of the feathers in his hat.
Later he started his career as a Research Associate at Friedrich Schiller University, Jena, Germany in the year 2018. He is currently working as a Postdoctoral Research Associate in US Department of Energy at Pacific Northwest National Laboratory, USA. His expertise is Research and Development in Microbial Ecology. He is also a member of the Max Planck Society, Germany.
He never forgets his inspirational and motivating principal Dr Gaurav Sharma, with whom he is in regular touch. He himself is the motivational model for the juniors. He keeps no stone unturned to guide Gyanrites whenever needed.
His mantra for a successful career and life is, “Dream big and make sure you are doing your best to get it done! “ He also likes to quote Bharat Ratna Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam Ji ``If you salute your duty, you no need to salute anybody, but if you pollute your duty, you have to salute everybody". This is his Guru Mantra for life.
