Dr. Rajesh Kalra, Scientist, Translational Health Science and Technology Institute , A DBT Research Institute, Noida
Rajesh joined us in 2005 with a perspective of achieving milestones in the field of Science and biochemistry.
He was a dedicated, hardworking and a sincere student in his batch. His expertise in Organic Chemistry,
Genetics, Molecular Biology set him apart from everyone.
Right after receiving his degree, he Qualified GATE 2008, exams All India rank, 463; percentile score, 96.48
conducted by Human Resource Development India (HRD). He joined Ph. D.(Biochemistry) in 2008 till 2013 from All
India Institute of Medical Sciences,New Delhi. His main area of research is in the field of “Antibody based
therapeutics & diagnostic”for viral & non-viral targets. He also completed his Post -Doctoral Research from
AIIMS, New Delhi.
After completing his research work, he received many awards & recognition like:
Awarded full fellowship to attend the 2019 HIV & HBV Cure Forum on 20 & 21 July 2019 and the 10th IAS Conference
on HIV Science (IAS 2019), 20-24 July 2019 in Mexico City, Mexico.
Awarded young investigator award to attend the Research-for-Cure Academy which will be held at the Wits Rural
Facility, Bushbuck Ridge, South Africa from 31 October to 2 November 2018
Recipient of full scholarship to attend ‘HIV Research for Prevention(HIV R4P )2018 conference to be held at
Madrid, Spain from October 21-25, 2018
Elected as fellow of Antiviral Research Society (AVRS) for the year 2018, based on the outstanding research
contribution in the field of viral vaccine.
MVP 2018 Award from IAVI,USA for “excellent and outstanding leadership efforts towards successfully establishing
the B cell sorting and bnAb isolation platform”at the HVTR lab in THSTI by closely working with NAC
Recipient of full scholarship to attend ‘HIV Research for Prevention 2016: AIDS Vaccine, Microbicide and
ARV-based Prevention Science (HIVR4P)’conference held at Chicago, USA, Oct., 2016 and many more….
He has 28 Publications and 3 patents under his name and he is starving hard on achieving more with time. He has
travelled 11 countries for attending conferences and research related work.
Apart from being a profound Scientist, he loves spending time with his family and likes to take them on small
trips. He likes to visit museums and historical places and is a foodie.
