Introduction

OVERVIEW:

School of law at Gyan Vihar University established with objective to encourage legal knowledge, inter- disciplinary orientation, critical legal pedagogy. Gyan Vihar School of law is designed to keeping observe the Rules of Bar council of India and University Grant Commission with aims to promote and conduct legal research. As a part of practical training and to provide due exposure to students and teachers, Eminent Jurists, Senior Advocates and Eminent Professors from other Universities are invited to deliver extension lectures, conduct seminars and discussions. These programmes not only make law teaching more meaningful but highlight practical aspects of law and enhance practical approaches by refining the knowledge. The profession of law throws open various avenues of career-as a judge, a lawyer, a legal adviser or a law academician and in the corporate sector. Being pioneering global centre in the field of legal education, Gyan Vihar School of Law ensures the development of a variety of new skills in coming law professionals to survive in competitive market and professional services. The school aims at giving students a solid practical grounding in the use of IT. Students are encouraged to develop their interests and skills in a way which is directly related to their intended career in the field of Law. To make education effective, participation of students in various clinical programmes are encouraged and ensured. Suresh Gyan Vihar School of Law is the proper choice for students who desire to undertake B.B.A.LL.B five year integrated programme, LL.M and Ph.D. courses.

OBJECTIVES:

1. Our objective is to encourage participative learning by organizing Inter and intra university competition like parliamentary debate, extempore, debate, judgement writing, national seminars and conferences on a variety of legal issues having contemporary relevance. 
2. We adopt critical, comparative and interdisciplinary approach to study of law, with a motive to integrate broader vision and unique perspective.
3. We deeply orientate the analysis of all legal, social political, economic issue through practical learning approach by the use of following methods- drafting and pleading, client counselling, negotiation and litigation strategy, problem solving approach, and documentary review. 
4. We adopt experimental and practical learning through clinical course. 
5. We inculcate the importance of law and community leadership and civil responsibility
6. We promote outcome based learning through inculcation  oral communication skills, management skills, writing and drafting skills

INTERNSHIP AND PLACEMENT CELL: 

Independent Internship and placement cell to facilitate summer Internships and campus placements for the students. At the end of every year, there shall be internship for a period of not less than four weeks.
