The Centre for Climate Change and Water Research (C3WR) at Suresh Gyan Vihar University organized an International Seminar titled "Hydro-technical Engineering and Remote Sensing in the European Union: Development, Challenges, and New Opportunities" on March 22, 2024 (Friday).
The seminar was initiated by Dr. Priyanka Roy in commemoration of World Water Day 2024. Dr. Suraj Kumar Singh, the Coordinator of C3WR, delivered a highly motivational introduction, highlighting the university's role and the nation's human resources, showcasing India's progress towards becoming a "SHASHKT BHARAT" (empowered India). Following this, the event commenced with a heartfelt opening address by Prof. Arunansu Halder, President of Suresh Gyan Vihar University.
Esteemed speakers from the University of North Croatia included Prof. Bojan Đurin from the Department of Civil Engineering, who shared his technical expertise on the hydrotechnical potential of water courses. Additionally, Dr. Nikola Kranjĺić from the Department of Geodesy and Geomatics delivered a presentation on the development, challenges, and emerging opportunities of remote sensing in the European Union. Their presentations provided valuable insights into the advancements and practical applications of hydro-technical engineering and remote sensing technologies. In today's rapidly changing environment, the seminar offered attendees insights and practical advice for professional development. The engaging lectures and discussions equipped participants with valuable career skills and knowledge applicable to their fields. This event not only celebrated World Water Day but also emphasized the importance of innovative solutions and international collaboration in addressing global water challenges.
