Cleanliness is the hallmark of perfect standards. Suresh Gyan Vihar University, Jaipur is known for innovation and research, that’s why it is Rajasthan the first University accredited by NAAC with ‘A’ grade. At Suresh Gyan Vihar University, we believe that a green campus is a cleaner, safer and a healthier place to live and work and that’s what we have created.

There are nearly 4600 trees of 95 different species including fruit, forest, medicinal and pot plants. Besides having fisheries, dairy, drip irrigation & sprinkler system has been installed to facilitate efficient watering, regular watering, pruning and grass cutting is carried out periodically. Overall the university campus has approximately 50% flora coverage of lush greenery.

Suresh Gyan Vihar University with many buildings and thousands of staff & students have a significant part to play in reducing carbon emissions and waste. The campus houses a total of 6 hostels for students. In every building of Suresh Gyan Vihar University, all the toilets installed are of western commode style with wall fitted flash, jets and toilet papers along with hand washes, and hand sanitizers, looking mirrors for the wash basins. We clean toilets and wash basins twice a day with eco-friendly cleansers.

Solid waste management is carried out by separating recyclable and non-recycle waste. Plants and kitchen base waste is used for vermicomposting and is used later as manure. The University has also adopted hydroponics and aquaponics as water saving techniques of agricultural production. Soil base drip base and equipped with the fogless and thermal sensors, the twin practice of aquaponics and hydroponics ensure that the University remains carbon negative.

In addition, the University has developed a modern poly-house in an area of 2000 square meters in which crops are vertically grown and the irrigation needs are meet through neighbouring fish pond whose water is harvested and recirculated to the drip and fogger systems. Despites this is an incinerator employed for disposable of used sanitary napkins in a hygienic and environmental friendly manner.

The hostel kitchen is well-fitted with modern equipment’s such as high capacity chimneys, machinery like bain merry, fresh air pressure, AHUs which contributes which contributes at accounting efficiency and efficacy of chefs and aligns staff in smooth functionary of kitchen activities and helping to serve well-cooked, hygienic and delicious meals to students and staff members.

The whole campus has a 24/7 running water supply; rain water harvesting is rigorously followed at Suresh Gyan Vihar University campus based upon traditional Rajasthani practices.

Rain water is harvested through ground water harvesting system distributed in five structures connected to each university building. The overall water output is collected at a common baori or step well which in-turn leads to the campus’ talai or pond. A temple has been built in campus for the spiritual upliftment of students. A good soul resides in a healthy body and a fit body houses, a healthy mind. We all have the necessary equipment’s to make sure that to clean indoors as well with scrubbing machines/ washing machines.

We know that by saving energy or producing energy from renewable resources we can write our new future. The university’s solar power generation is around 375 kilowatt and University achieves grid parity.
