This innovative degree program gives you a comprehensive understanding of the science, impacts and politics of climate change. The huge importance of this scientific challenge has led to a major increase in the demand for scientists trained in the field, making this degree one of the most relevant qualifications available. In this program you get to study a wide range of environmental challenges, with a focus on climate change using multidisciplinary scientific research skills, as well as analysis of media communication and governmental policy.

There is a pressing need for people who understand both the environmental and social complexities of climate change. The focal point to this program is to enable you study climate change from a unique multi-disciplinary perspective. It allows you to study the physical, geochemical, social, economic, and political dimensions of climate change. You will explore the natural and human drivers of climate change, alongside how we respond so far to its challenges.

This program has been specifically designed to help graduates manage projects and programs better, as well as, make advice on policy-decisions in various national and international settings. This course has been specifically designed to cater to the needs of those individuals who are interested in:
  • The workings of the government and the delivery of services, including international perspectives.
  • Policy making, implementation and management within public sector organization.
  • The effect of globalization and environmental issues on national government and business.
As a participant of this program, you will be equipped with specialist skills in areas such as political analysis, government strategies, and policy analysis and issues management.

Both public and private sector companies recruit candidates with profound knowledge in public policy and management. This course is relevant to careers in Central Government, Government Agencies, Local Government, Health Services, Welfare Agencies, Charities and in private and voluntary agencies providing public services as well as providing good preparations for careers in business.
The student should have secured a minimum of 60% aggregate marks or equivalent grade in 10+2, in any discipline, to be eligible for this program.
