Introduction to B.Sc.(Hons.) Biology

Are you fascinated by the scientific study of living organisms, their structure and how they survive in different habitats? This complex and enthralling area of science defines our very existence, therefore the industry demands scientists who are at the forefront of modern technology and the latest scientific discoveries.

This 3-year program is aimed at studying living things in all their forms, from micro-organisms to the entire human race. Our specialist degree investigates how biology impacts the world around us, encouraging flexibility and choice so you can tailor your studies towards your scientific interests.

Our B.Sc. (Hons.) Biology program starts with a broad study of the bio-sciences, to include microbes, plants and animals, giving you a fuller understanding of living matter. You will also study life at several different levels, from molecules and cells to whole organisms and species, right upto communities and ecosystems. Teaching you and helping you become a biologist will be lecturers who are experts in their research areas.
At the end of this 3-year program, you will be able to develop a broad foundation of knowledge and solid practical experience that is required to start an exciting scientific career. Some of the career options are as follows:

The student should have secured a minimum of 60% aggregate marks or equivalent grade in 10+2 (PCM/Commerce with maths/Biology with Mathematics), to be eligible for this program.
